Exactly what I needed

For obvious reasons, I’ve been “going” to a lot of zoom parties as of late. After two isolated zoom sessions with my friends in my office upstairs, I decided to bring the fun downstairs to my living room. I set up an old computer and hooked it up to my TV. It worked out ok but the webcam I have is pretty old, so it wasn’t very clear and it couldn’t zoom in much, which wasn’t ideal because my couch is fairly far from my TV. Thus, I was in need of a new camera.At first, I skipped right over this camera because of the price, but then I saw that it came with a remote, had full range motion, and it was in 4k!? Yes please! Needless to say, it was exactly what I needed and I’ve been very happy with it so far. I can now zoom party all week long from the comfort of my couch without ever having to reposition it. The only thing I don’t like about it is its size. It’s much bulkier than I thought it would be. Other than that, it's great.
Has some limitations, but solved a problem for me

I already own plenty of webcams including a few high end ones, and did not expect to have to buy another this holiday season. But then I had to set up video chatting for my elderly parents for the holidays, and the cameras I brought with me just didn't cut it. One of them is low mobility, and what I needed was for them to be able to receive a Skype call on a computer, have the camera already roughly pointed in the direction of their couch (so not mounted to their laptop screen), and then for them to be able to adjust the camera as needed, preferably with a remote, and sit for however long without having to get up to readjust it. The remote control and zoom range of this camera make this exact scenario possible - when they take a Skype call all they have to do is point the camera at the correct area of their couch, zoom in so they are visible to the caller, and sit there for as long as they like!I haven't explored the other features of this camera and doubt I will need to, but as a solution for someone with limited mobility, I am really glad this webcam exists. It is pricy, but not much more so than the "regular" webcam I use for work. At least not this costco version - I've seen other similar webcams with remote controls around the web for upwards for 0.
